SUMMARY:

Responsible for implementing and administering the staff and management compensation programs at Stamford Health under the direction of more senior staff and management. Includes performing compensation analysis on all healthcare system jobs using PayScale’s MarketPay compensation tool. Participate in compensation surveys and conduct annual compensation processes such as updating job compensation with new survey data and updating pay structures as needed. Also responsible for independently administering the HRIS under the direction of more senior staff and management. These systems may include ADP, SilkRoad, Oracle Cloud HCM & others as assigned and includes related reporting and integrations. Develops, implements and maintains the HRIS, makes recommendations for upgrades and system changes. Monitors and audits use of the system to ensure data integrity. Develops processes that optimize usability and reporting capabilities of the system. Provides support to users, creates and generates reports, provides training as necessary to the HR team. Implements upgrades to HR system, ensures appropriate testing is completed, problems resolved, and HR initiatives are met according to established timetables. Initiates and leads projects that reduce costs, increase productivity and further the business objectives of the Human Resources department. Responsible for procedural documentation and ongoing compliance related tasks within assigned functional area.

 

May assume responsibility for other functional areas such as compensation as required. May also provide supervision, guidance and training for more junior staff to assist in Compensation & HRIS related tasks. May assist in periodic performance appraisals of more junior staff as specified by the organization’s performance review policy.

Major Accountabilities/Critical Responsibilities:
  • Work with HR Partners to perform requested adhoc job analysis and determine appropriate salary level utilizing PayScale’s
  • MarketPay tool and according to compensation guidelines and policy
  • Gather, coordinate and provide data in response to compensation survey requests
  • Maintain up-to-date library of salary survey data for use in job analysis process
  • Proactively compare system jobs to market data to determine proper positioning based on internal compensation policy
  • Analyzes organizational pay structure and practices and makes recommendations for salary changes to ensure equity and market competitiveness
  • Review and maintain current compensation process and procedures and develop new ones under the direction of management
  • Maintains knowledge of and analyzes government regulations, total rewards trends, and prevailing practices among similar organizations. Ensures compliance with federal and state laws, including IRS and Department of Labor regulations.
  • Responsible for all ongoing (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly) processing and reporting requirements for HR.
  • Completes regulatory reporting (EEO, OSHA, DOL, etc) and surveys in a timely manner.
  • Provides guidance, oversight and training to HRIS support staff.
  • Troubleshoots system problems and analyzes workarounds without supervision. Liaisons with PR & IT staff as necessary to develop and implement solutions to business & system issues.
  • Ability to multi-task and accomplish ongoing tasks and project assignments in an accurate and timely manner with minimal supervision from senior staff.
  • High degree of proficiency with ADP and/or Oracle Clous HCM products with configuration knowledge of all required
  • modules.
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite of products including Word, Excel with a high degree of expertise with Access. Ability to utilize these products to develop adhoc queries & reporting as well as data uploads to/from the HRIS system.
  • Ability to liaison between various stakeholders, interpret business requirements, recommend alternatives, develop technical solutions, plan and execute the solution implementation.
Qualifications/Requirements:

·         5 – 8 years of Compensation & HRIS experience

·         2 – 4 years of compensation experience in a healthcare industry (preferred)

·         3 – 5 years of experience with PayScale, ADP Enterprise and/or Oracle Cloud HCM (or similar product) suite of products

·         Advanced knowledge of MS Access and relational database concepts

·         Proficient in MS Word & Excel

·         Excellent organizational and project management skills

·         Effective communication skills

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS (INCLUDE LICENSE, REGISTRATION, CERTIFICATION):

·         Bachelor’s degree

·         Compensation Certification preferred

Compensation: 100 – 120k annual base (DOE)
