Project Manager


SUMMARY:

The Project Manager will support a growing Leadership Consulting Company by providing executive-level project management support by managing projects, performing analyses, developing reports, and representing the organization to others.

 

The successful candidate will serve as a liaison between the organization and clients and professional partners and will provide the structure and support to maintain and enhance a growing coaching and leadership development business.

Project/Program Management:
  • Assists in project management, tracking, and reporting of all client assignments, including all aspects from proposal development, contracting, and invoicing to milestones and deadlines for contracted work.
  • Collaborates with internal resources, clients, and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of multiple projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders
  • Develop and manage subcontractor partner relationships and interact with senior staff and contractors to track scheduled sessions, updates, and deliverables
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members
  • Edits, proofreads, revises, and distributes company reports, deliverables, and other materials for assigned projects
  • Works collaboratively with proven ability to multi-task and work within aggressive timeframes
  • Expresses ideas clearly in both written and oral communication
Administrative Responsibilities:
  • Supports Principal with the management of projects he is leading.
  • Schedules and coordinates a wide range of events for the Principal and other senior leaders, including client meetings and retreats, networking events, speaking engagements, business development meetings, general appointments, recurring staff meetings, continuing education, and ad hoc projects.
  • May assist in management of company-wide projects, such as marketing and PR projects and social media projects.
  • Arranges corporate travel and meeting space as needed including securing meeting space, developing itineraries and agendas, booking transportation and lodging accommodations, ordering materials, and managing expenses.
  • Plans and prioritizes workflow using systematic processes, critical thinking, and organization tools.
  • Continuously reviews functionality and efficiency of office operations and makes recommendations to redesign operational procedures and processes.
  • Assists in managing subcontractor relationships (i.e. insurance agency, bookkeeper, accountant, etc.)
Skills/Qualifications:
  • Proven working experience in project management
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Strong client relationship management and vendor management skills
  • Solid decision-making skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus but not required
  • Makes independent decisions regarding planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
  • Works flexibly within an environment of ambiguity and shifting priorities.
  • Comfortable working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment as opposed to being an individual contributor.
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in appropriate field. Supervisory or team leadership experience is a plus.
  • The position is virtual/work from home; offers a competitive salary, healthcare benefits (including dental and vision), paid time off, and the opportunity to participate in a 401K plan.

Salary:  75 – 100k annual base (DOE)

Location:  Remote (East Coast)
