Front-line fundraiser, new business lead and corporate giving strategist, leading 3 person department responsible for creatively developing multi-faceted partnerships with corporate sponsors, including using sponsorship and philanthropy, with a focus on generating new business and increasing overall corporate contributions from existing donors and new prospects. As a key member of the Business Development team, you will leverage your knowledge, skills and experience to manage a deal pipeline and execute business decisions to form new partnerships aligned with organization strategy.


● Working across departments, engage with senior leadership to create and implement a growth and partnership strategy that drives significant new corporate revenue to NJPAC and advances the organization’s ability to achieve impact.

● Proactively leverage NJPAC Board, Women @ NJPAC board and leadership committees to support and advance prospecting and solicitation

● Attend state and regional industry conferences and events to network, keep abreast of industry trends and raise the profile of NJPAC within the business community

● Work cross-departmentally to craft unique sponsorship packages that attract sponsors and donors, including mainstage programming, community engagement activities, arts education and real estate development


● Oversee current portfolio of approximately $3.6 million from corporate sponsors and foundations giving $5k+ annually, with a focus on corporate gifts at the $50K level and up, including solicitations, renewals, stewardship, upgrades, and fulfillment

● Creatively steward and upgrade existing sponsors using visits, meetings with CEO/other stakeholders, ticketing, “surprise and delight” perks, invitations to program-related meetings and events, crediting and recognition and benefit fulfillment events

● Lead planning and implementation of Business Roundtable and Business Partners Committee meetings, including overseeing schedule, conceptualization, and panel engagement.  Assign Corporate Giving Manager as needed.

● Manage Corporate Giving Manager overseeing Business Partners at the $5K-$50,000 level, including the development and execution of strategies to steward and upgrade existing donors and strengthen the pipeline for new gifts at increasing levels

● Manage Corporate Giving Coordinator handling donor fulfillment, event support, acknowledgements, pledge receivables, reporting and tracking, and donor and sponsor recognition in marketing/public relations collateral and sponsorship grids.


● Responsible for setting the fundraising goals for corporate giving and sponsorship tied to annual fund and any special campaigns

● Oversee corporate relationships affiliated with NJPAC board members, working closely with department leader, CEO, and other senior leadership to define and execute engagement and solicitation strategies


● Bachelor’s degree required.

● 7-10 years demonstrated and progressively responsible management experience in corporate sponsorship and corporate giving

● Strong ability to motivate and develop a team, including fostering a working environment that encourages collaboration, achievement and optimizes team performance.

● Proven ability to create new opportunities, manage change, lead entrepreneurial growth and execute innovative, sustainable initiatives.

● Highly motivated strategic thinker with exceptional written and verbal communication skills;

● Ability to build relationships and consensus across internal teams.

● Strong financial business acumen

● Strong sales and networking skills

● Superior organizational and project management skills.

● Strong technology skills, including proficiency in Word and Excel.  Experience with customer relation software preferred.

● Familiarity with New Jersey business sector

● Superior customer service and listening skills

● Excellent project management with an ability to implement systems and follow-up processes.

● Ability to manage up and down

● Self-starter, independent and proactive

● Interest in the arts a plus

● Analytical and comfort with data and databases

● Experience with Salesforce or other Fundraising and ticketing software preferred.

● Located Newark New Jersey – hybrid remote


Compensation: 125 – 145k doe
